Row House Swap

This is my contribution to a row house swap on the TN Stampers Yahoo group. It's a good thing I only had to make ten - I was worn out before I had the first one done! It's so much better IRL. It is much more textural and dimensional. The bird is from I Brake For Stamps (formerly Time to Stamp) and is stamped on mica. The letter S is from Oxford Impressions. TIP! Don't throw away the waste after punching out your Grungeboard pieces - they are great to use as stencils! I also use Grungeboard pieces as masks. For this piece I used the large flourish as a mask and spritzed around it with Ranger Cranberry Colorwash spray. The background is acrylics in various colors.

Innovative Stamp Creations Artwork

A few things I did recently for Betsy @ISC.

The first piece is made up of various wood pieces and blocks I had laying around. Everything is stamped using black Stazon and then aged with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

This piece is a grungeboard necklace inspired by Tim Holtz's Industrial Grunge. Grungeboard base was painted silver and then run thru the Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots folder) to give it more texture. The rest is mostly just junk (do you sense a theme here?) that was laying around on my work table.

The last piece is one of my favorites! This is made from a burnt mint tin and various found objects. The base is a piece of yardstick that I found when we tore down an old shed - when I say 'found objects' I really mean it!
