GM #36

This week's Grungy Monday challenge is all about Tim Holtzian Valentines, and is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. I thought it was the perfect time to share this tag I created using some of the new Idea-ology products that debuted at last month's CHA.

The tag was cut from Valentine's paper from the Seasonal Paper Stash pad using the Tag and Bookplates die from Sizzix. Next, I added a rosette cut using the Paper Rosette die. On top of that I added a sweet Cupid cut from red Kraft Core'dinations paper, using the Love Struck die. A sticker from the new Chitchat stickers was added and covered with Glossy Accents to give it a epoxy kind of look.

Along the bottom I added two of the new Idea-ology Alpha Cards that I fastened to the tag with one of the new Gem Clips. To finish off the bottom, I added some ruffled trim from the Lavish Trimmings set and embellished it with a piece of paper lace cut from Kraft Core'dinations paper with the Vintage Lace die.

For a little custom embellishment, I covered Grungeboard with foil tape and cut it with the Mini Hearts die. I painted it with a Snow Cap Dabber and then sanded it a little when it was dry. To protect the paint from chipping off, I inked it with Distress Embossing ink and embossed using UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel). I tied the top with a scrap of tulle and attached my heart with a jump ring and one of the new Wire Pins (love these!!).
