With CHA sample making in full swing, I haven't had much time for creating anything else. With Independence Day just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite patriotic projects from the past. From tags to books, there is something for everyone! Click the links under each photo to go to the original post - many of them have full tutorials included, along with supply lists and links (one even has a freebie!).
The card above is a sample I created for Stampers Anonymous last year. I never did get around to posting it on my blog, but you may have seen it at a stamp show! There is no tutorial, but it's a fairly simple card. The main image is from Tim Holtz' Americana Blueprint set, and the dies and embellishments are also from Tim.
This is a project that I made a couple years ago. I spotted the idea on Pinterest and decided to change it up a bit, using Tim Holtz' Paper Rosette die to make all the rosettes. A month or so ago it was pinned by Crock-Pot. It was amazing to see all the traffic that a pin from a big company could bring. I love that Pinterest can breathe life into an old project!
It's no secret that I love Karen Burniston's Accordion 3D die - it works with any theme and style and I thought it was perfect for a patriotic card that spells out 'USA'. My favorite part is the glittery stars! Be sure and click on the link to see the full tutorial.
One of my favorite stamp sets from Artistic Outpost is their She-roes set. Women in the military deserve recognition just as much as the men do, and this collection is full of wonderful vintage images that celebrate their contributions. In this post, I also have a free download of the sheet music I used in this tag.
Finally, I have this Graduated Star Album I created for the Technique Junkies Mini Album Mania CD. I am definitely not a scrapper, but I loved making this book to celebrate my son's graduation from Basic Training. The album style couldn't be more perfect for a patriotic theme.
I hope you've enjoyed these projects and maybe found a bit of inspiration. I can't wait to show you what I've been working on for CHA - you will definitely be blown away by the new products and dies!!
Finally, with Google Reader shutting down, I want to invite you to follow my blog with Bloglovin'. You can also subscribe to email updates in my side bar.
