Artistic Outpost is excited to release our newest rubber stamp collections: Beyond the Sea, Bloom and Grow, and Country Life. To us, these stamps represent the good life: love, growth, and friendship (and a pig thrown in just for jazz).
Beyond the Sea was inspired by the Bobby Darin song, Beyond the Sea. It features interchangeable main images including the perfect lighthouse, an alluring couple, and longing clam digger. Perfect for cards, shadow boxes, and scrapbooking your seashore visits. The card above was created using the Sepia technique from the Oct/Nov '09 issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter.
Bloom and Grow and Country Life represent two halves of one whole. Bloom and Grow features more feminine elements including a perfect seed frame that you can use with so many of our stamps.
Country Life includes a little more fun "boy" imagery including the cutest little pig, chickens, and little boy. Mix and match both of these collections together or with our other collections such as Lovely Day and Home. The background for this card was made with the Ancient Paper technique from the Dec/Jan '10 issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter.

Theme Thursday - Butterflies
Hi all! When I saw the Theme Thursday challenge, I knew I had the perfect stamp to use! The main image is from the new collage collection by I Brake for Stamps. It has been embossed on a background that was created using the Pigment Ink Scrunch technique from the Feb/Mar '09 issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter. I also added a little Drywall Stitching which can be found in the Apr/May '09 issue.

Technique Junkies - Embossed Crayon Resist
Here's another card using the wonderful stamps from Oxford Impressions' Steampunk collection. The background was created using the Embossed Crayon Resist technique from the Oct/Nov '09 issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter. I really wanted a Victorian embossed leather/wallpaper kind of look and I think this worked perfectly!
The stamped metal is actually a soda can that I inked with black and brown Stazon and then sanded. The trim and the top and the nameplate at the bottom were both embossed with gold ep. After they cooled, I rubbed them with gold rub-on paint. It knocks down the shine and gives it a nice vintage look.

Theme Thursday - Vintage
Better late than never, right? I started this card yesterday intending to post it for the Theme Thursday challenge, but time got away from me and I had to set it aside. I had a chance to catch a few minutes in the studio today, so I finished it up!
I am loving the new Steampunk rubber stamps from Oxford Impressions. Everything here is from the collection. The background was created using the Faux Designer Paper technique from the Technique Junkie newsletter. These stamps worked so well with it!

Gothic Arches - Mona Lisa
When I saw that the Gothic Arches challenge was Mona Lisa, I was like - aha! I can totally cheat this week and use something that I made awhile back. ;-) This card was made for the Aug/Sept '09 issue of the Technique Junkie newsletter. It features a technique called Starch Smoosh. It's so pretty and shimmery in real life - hard to show in a scan! All the stamps used are from I Brake for Stamps/Time to Stamp. The purple paper is from Paper Temptress.
