Happy Monday, everyone! I had a fantastic time at CHA - lots of fun with friends and loads of inspiration around every corner. I have so many pics that I decided to split them into several posts. Today's will be all about the Tim Holtz product lines!
I was thrilled to be invited to make samples again for Tim. Every time I open the box holding the new idea-ology products I honestly let out a little gasp - it's all so incredible. Then come the new Sizzix dies and I am rendered speechless! Finally, I see the new Stampers Anonymous stamps and I am thrown into inspiration overload.
One of the first projects I worked on was this Steampunk Laboratorie Configurations Book. I'll have lots more pics of this later on - and possibly a downloadable tutorial. This used lots of the new stamps, dies, and idea-ology bits. My absolute faves are the little domes - so many possibilities with them!
This was my favorite corner of the idea-ology booth. I love the apothecary cabinet. Too cool! Tim, Paula, and Debbie do such an awesome job of decorating - I never want to leave when I'm in there.
This is one of my cards that was displayed in the cabinet. I used the new stamps that Brett Weldele designed for Tim - he's such a gifted artist! I also used the new apothecary bottles from Sizzix, and the new paper, remnant rubs, and cloth ribbon from idea-ology.
This is a collection of a few more of my samples displayed in and around the cabinet. The two altered bottles in the back were more of my favorite projects. I did a total of three of these - I didn't get a pic of the other one. The card in the front features a transfer done on idea-ology mirrored using matte medium and the new paper. The ornate frame and crossbones border are both from the new Sizzix release. Love these!!
I love my little Screampunk guy on this card! The ironwork gate is another of the new releases from Sizzix. I predict it will be a hot seller. It's pretty awesome.
Edit: I just found this great video from Scrapbook.com that shows quite a bit of my Configurations book and also a couple of my cards. So much better than my iPhone shots! :)
Okay, now we're moving on to the Sizzix booth. So many faves here! My #1 omgImfreakingout die has to be the new luminary. It is simply amazing! For my sample, I used chipboard that I painted to give it an oxidized metal look. I decided to create a little winter scene inside. This photo isn't the best, but there is snow and a little idea-ology tree inside. So many different directions you could take this die!
I don't have any samples here, but wanted to show all the incredible work that was featured in the Sizzix booth. I'm not sure of all the artists, but I know there is work from Debi Adams and Tim. I could honestly stare at this display for hours!
Here are a couple of my favorite samples. I made the top right card using Tim's new plaid texture fade, the new vintage market alpha die, and the ice skates. I'll post a better pic later - I promise! The ice skates die is so cool. The card on the bottom left also uses the plaid texture fade, this time paired with the new rustic lantern die.
Debi Adams created these gorgeous decorated skates using Tim's dies. I wanted to snatch them off the door and take them home with me!
Speaking of Debi, here she is at the demo table with the amazingly talented Richele Christensen. Too much talent in this pic! I loved the wall of books in this section of the booth.
Now we'll head over to the Ranger booth. It's always fun to see where my samples end up! Here, they're featured on the Alterations board. My cards are the top left and bottom right. I love the mini lantern and apothecary bottles dies. The top card uses the new diffusers and the bottom features the new wood planks texture fade.
Some of my favorite cards in the whole show were on this board. My card is the one with the little idea-ology tree. There are also cards from Tammy Tutterow, Jim Hankins, Chelle Fowler, and Tim. There are a couple that I'm not sure of - if I find out, I'll be sure and give credit!
I don't know anyone who isn't freaking out about the new Distress glitter - I know I am! I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Okay, now I'll finish up by sharing a few of the Stampers Anonymous boards. There is always so much inspiration on them! The center and bottom right cards are mine. I love that chemist!
This picture is horribly blurry, but I still wanted to share - there are some great ideas here. I did the card in the upper left. I created the background by stamping the science images with a white Distress dabber and inking over it. Love that resist technique.
The Christmas sets are some of my all-time favorites. I love the silhouette images. The center left and bottom right cards are mine. The man is such a great stamp!
More incredible Christmas inspiration. I did the Santa card in the upper left and the glittery star card in the lower right. It's so much fun seeing how the different artists use the stamps. I left the Stampers Anonymous booth feeling very inspired!
Whew! I hope you enjoyed the photos of all things Tim. I was lucky enough to not only snag one of Tim's cool tote bags, but I got his autograph on it too! I'm giving it and this gorgeous idea-ology burlap make-and-take away to one of my lucky readers. All you have to do is leave a comment - please make sure you include your email so that I can contact you if you win. You have until Friday at midnight to enter. I'll choose a winner and announce it Saturday. Good luck!
Inspiration Emporium has many of the supplies I used available for preorder right now. They can be found via the links below. Remember to use my coupon code - stamptramp - to save 10% on your order!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure you come back on Wednesday when I'll be sharing photos of my samples and CHA happenings from Karen Burniston!

Hello Shelly,
ReplyDeleteI've been searching the internet daily the week of the show to find any videos of the event... It took a while, but they are coming and what I see amazes me once again.
The booths of Tim are definitely the best : a feast for the eye, so much to see and so much to be inspired by.
I've seen most of your work on the different videos and blogs and some I was so sure off it was your work!!! Like the configurationbox.. This really is you :)
Nice to see now more off what is yours on the displays.
You are happy to be asked to create for Tim, but they may also be honored to have you as a designer!
Thumbs up for your projects!
Greetings from Belgium
Inge
