Inspiration Emporium Challenge - Joyful Creations!

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite cards that I created for Stampers Anonymous for their CHA Summer release. The main images are from Tim Holtz' Mini Holidays 4, which is an absolutely beautiful Christmas stamp collection!

I started with a top-folded Kraft Core'dinations card that I stamped with Snow Cap Paint using Tim's wood grain stamp. I cut an opening in the front using the Sizzix Mini Baroque Movers and shapers die. I stamped the angel on the front and back of a piece of acetate using Stazon and adhered it behind the opening. I created a frame from chipboard using the mini and large Baroque dies and then painted it with Picket Fence crackle paint and adhered it over the opening.

Inside the card, I added a piece of white cardstock that was cut with the Baroque die, embossed, and then inked lightly with Antique Linen Distress ink. The front was trimmed with Silver Tinsel Twine, Crinkle Ribbon, and the new Festive Foliage.

I stamped the sentiment onto kraft cardstock, trimmed it closely, and adhered it to the card with pop dots. Speaking of sentiments, Inspiration Emporium's monthly challenge is 'Joyful Creations'. We're dedicating this month's challenge to IE's general manager, Joy, who is one of the sweetest people I know! I hope you can join us. For all the details, check out this post.

Pop 'n Cuts Star Book PLUS a Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Today I have a fun project on the Sizzix blog. It's a star book that is also a pop-up book! This is something I've been dreaming about since I first got my Pop 'n Cuts dies - there is something so magical about a book or card that is interactive!

I may or may not have used every Tim Holtz Christmas/winter die that I own! This is one of those projects that I could still be happily working on. There are so many ways to embellish these pages. When I have nothing but time on my hands, I would love to make one with even more detail.

I love that this book can stand on its own and be displayed. It's like five little dioramas to look at!

I made a quick little video so that you can see more of how the book works - static photos just do not do pop-ups justice!

This giveaway has ended. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments!
Oh yeah, now for the fun part!! I just happen to have a couple of extra dies from the amazing Karen Burniston to give away! You might remember the Opening Door die from another Pop 'n Cuts card I made a few weeks ago. The little wreath is adorable and I used it a lot on the PNC star book. I also have Karen's Flagpole with Lantern and Sign strip die. This is the die I used to cut the banners that spell out Noel. You get so many different elements on this strip - it's one of my faves!

I also have a bunch of the Talking Tags from Sizzix to share. Check out this video from Sizzix on how to use these cool tags. I think they're amazing!

All you need to do to win is leave a comment on this post. PLEASE make sure you include your email address! I'll leave this open until Sunday night and announce the winner on Monday. Good luck!
