Hi all! This week, the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team is joining forces with Stampendous for an 'Along the Garden Path' blog hop. For my project, I combined Eileen's Birdhouse die with the Cottage Home stamp set to create this sweet little Hobbit house, perfect for your spring decorating.
This is a very fun and easy project - here is a quick tutorial to show you how I made it:
Begin by cutting the birdhouse from cream mat board. Cut an additional piece from cream cardstock and trim as shown. We'll use this to cover the hole. Ink with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.
Stamp house elements with Jet Black Archival ink and color with Distress markers as shown. Note: this set includes dies that weren't used in this project.
Assemble house. Paint roof piece with Forest Moss Distress paint. When dry, adhere moss to roof with hot glue and attach to house.
I have to say, I absolutely adore my little Hobbit house! I can't wait to turn a few more of Eileen's dies into sweet garden cottages.
Make sure you check out the Stampendous blog for a chance to win the stamps I used as well as die cuts from Eileen! In addition, please take a moment to view all the incredible projects the rest of the talented Inspiration Team and Stampendous team have come up with:
If you're ready to shop right now, the supplies I used can be found at Simon Says Stamps, Sizzix, and Amazon via the links below.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - have a great week!
