Christmas Cloche Gift Box

Hi all! This month, the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team is teaming up with DCWV paper to share some festive Christmas projects using Eileen's dies combined with gorgeous foil papers from DCWV. I absolutely fell in love with the Cranberry Christmas stack and decided use it to create this pretty gift box, topped by a cloche you can make from an unlikely source. Can you tell what it is? It's a dollar store wine glass! You might remember this Easter project that I did a couple years using the same idea. So easy and definitely affordable!

Follow along to see how to make one of your own.

Begin by covering white matboard with desired paper, then cut out the pieces as shown and assemble the box, leaving the lid off for now.

Create the cloche by cutting off the stem of a plastic dollar store wine glass, leaving about 3/4" nub. Glue a large pearl in the opening. Dye a length of crinkle ribbon with Hickory Smoke Distress stain and tie on stem.

Create a vignette using Tim Holtz's new Decorative Deer and Woodland Trees. Glue down securely.

To complete the box, sprinkle snow around deer and trees and glue cloche to top of box lid. Glue a length of tinsel twine around the base. Finally, adhere lid to box hinge.

I love that this pretty Christmas decoration has a secret compartment! Who wouldn't love receiving a small gift in this pretty box?

You can find the supplies I used at Amazon and Simon Says Stamp via the links below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'm sad to say this will be my last project as a member of Eileen's fantastic team. I've decided to take a bit of a breather from design team work for the next year - it's been a long time coming and I'm really excited to see what life is like without deadlines!

Be sure and check out all the wonderful projects on Eileen's blog!
