Technique Junkie 3D and Fun Folds CD - On Sale Now!!

I have some exciting news to share with you! A few weeks ago, the fabulous technique goddess herself,  Pat Huntoon, invited me to create some samples for a new Technique Junkie CD called 3D and Fun Folds. Of course, I couldn't resist! I knew there would be tons of fantastic ideas and I LOVE anything 3D!

The card above is called a Map Fold card and it is one of 70 (!) projects you will find on the CD. Why is it called a Map Fold? Here ya go:

Yikes! How cool is that?! I went just a bit literal with the theme, lol! I couldn't resist using this map paper I had in my stash. Want a quick 'try-it-before-you-buy-it'? Check out this tutorial for the Vertical Accordion Card. Remember, you're getting 70 step-by-step tutorials just like this, with tons of finished samples to inspire you. There are tutes for 3D gifts, boxes, ornaments, decorative items and plenty of card ideas, too! I'll be showing more of my samples throughout the week.

Have I convinced you yet? If so, you can use this link to order your own copy. I promise, you are gonna love it!

Now, for a few deets about my card. The base was created with the new Kraft Core'dinations paper (love!). I sanded it lightly using my Idea-ology Sanding Grip. I love the worn look - it almost looks like an old book. I embossed another panel of Kraft Core'dinations with Tim Holtz's Collage Texture Fade, sanded the raised portion and layered that onto the card. Next, I stamped the airplane image from Tim's Air Travel stamp set onto cream cardstock, trimmed it, layered it onto black cardstock, trimmed again, and adhered it using foam dots.

Next, I stamped the compass (from the same set) onto a piece of clear packaging and attached it using an Idea-ology Long Fastener and an Idea-ology Game Spinner. To give my card a bit of a travel journal look, I added a bit of twine tied onto Idea-ology Charm Clips that I attached using Long Fasteners and Idea-ology Washers. The travel labels on the inside of the card were cut out of paper from the Idea-ology Lost and Found Paper Stash.

You can get all the supplies I used at Inspiration Emporium, PLUS you can save 10% off your total order by using my coupon code - stamptramp. If you want to order the new Limited Edition Winter Distress Inks, they have those too! I can't wait to get mine!
