Go Fly a Kite!

This month over at the Inspiration Journal blog, we're challenging you to 'Go Fly a Kite'! For my challenge piece, I decided to play around with some Adirondack Color Wash sprays and some of my Stampers Anonymous rubber stamps.

My base is a cast-off dollar store canvas that had been partially worked on. I added a bunch of different papers and then sprayed over them with the washes. I added texture using the new Colorwash Alcohol technique from the latest issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter. To that I added some stenciling, a rubber stamped border, a hand cut kite, and a great quote from Lauren Bacall. The word 'imagination' was spelled using the new idea-ology Alpha Tiles. The string on the kite is the new Paper String. After I added the quote and kite, I outlined them with a Black Soot Distress Marker.

The supplies I used can be found at Inspiration Emporium via the links below. Don't forget to use my coupon code - stamptramp - to save 10% on your order!

This was a bit of an experiment for me...still not sure I like it, but it was fun and challenging and that's what it's all about, right? We would love for you to join us this month. You could win a $50 shopping spree! All the deets can be found on the Inspiration Journal blog. Thanks so much for stopping by - have a great weekend!
