Hi all! I'm so excited to share this card with you! It features the new Ring Album from Karen Burniston's Summer 2014 Pop it Ups die release. Isn't it the coolest shape? I just got Graphic 45's Botanical Tea paper and decided to go fussy cutting crazy for this card - and I am in love with how it turned out!
Here is the album closed. For the first panel, I decided to cut out the center and add acetate to give it a light and airy look. I love that when the album is closed, you can see through the first page - it gives it so much depth.
Here you can see how the clear center looks when it's opened. I used one of the circle dies that comes in the set to cut the opening, then added the acetate, then covered it with a frame I cut using the album die plus the circle die. I added a bunch of fussy cut images, layering them with pop dots.
One of my favorite things about Karen's new line of dies with Elizabeth Craft Designs is the sheer number of dies you get in each set! The Ring Album set includes this pretty border that perfectly fits the album. For the center portion of this panel, I lined up the die so that I'd get the teapot image in the circle portion, then fussy cut another teapot and popped it up. I also made the pink dogwoods 3D.
For the last panel, I layered several different elements from the pad (I love how many different papers you get in G45's collections). It is almost painful to cut into these papers because they are so beautiful!
And one more shot, just because I love it so. :) The great thing about Karen's accordion album dies is that you get to choose how many pages you'd like your album to have. They're perfect for a quick card, or a multi-page album. SO many possibilities with these dies! Make sure you visit Karen's blog to see the complete 2014 Pop it Ups Summer Release - you will be blown away!
The new dies aren't yet available for sale, but I will be sure and update my products list when they are. The other supplies I used can be found at Inspiration Emporium via the links below. Don't forget you can use my coupon code - stamptramp - to save 10%! (I also included a link to Amazon for the paper since it's not in stock right now at IE.)
