Happy Pi Day!

Hi all! This month the Paper Pros challenge falls on 3-14, which is Pi day. A quick Google search told me that "Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159." Whew! What is means for our challenge is that we were to make something that featured either a pie, or a circle. I decided to make an updated version of a card I did a few years ago, this time using Karen Burniston's Twist Circle Pop Up die set.

A few months ago, Karen posted a video featuring a window technique using this die set. I had been dying to try it and this was the perfect opportunity!

The Twist Circle die is just the coolest, isn't it? Amazing how the pop-up element spirals out when the card is opened. I combined it with Karen's Clock and Gears set, another one of my faves. The gears are all cut from Shimmer Sheetz that were lightly sanded, coated with black paint, and then wiped off. I love the rough, vintage look it gives them.

I think this will be the perfect card for my father or brother's birthday - they both have birthdays at the end of the month - I can't decide who will get it!

So fun!! Below is a list of the Paper Pros - have a peep and see what they came up with for the challenge.

You can find the supplies I used at Elizabeth Craft Designs and Amazon via the links below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Check back tomorrow for a fun card I made for the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog - you're going to love it!
