New Halloween Dies From Karen Burniston!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share one of the cards I made using Karen Burniston's latest release. Yay for Halloween!! There are so many great dies, stamps, and stencils in this release - definitely one of my favorite collections ever, and I couldn't wait to start creating with them.

My card was created by cutting a piece of dark brown cardstock to 6" x 12" and scoring it into thirds. I used the wrinkle free distress technique to create three panels on watercolor paper. I love using these colors together - I think it makes such a spooky background. After the panels were adhered I attached the trees and stenciled the bats. The fence - seriously one of my all-time favorite dies! - was cut three times and attached flat on two panels and then as a pop-up element on the right panel. When the card opens, it arches out. So cool! Silver metallic rub on paint was used to highlight the edges.

To finish the card, I added a stamped greeting using Karen's new Halloween clear stamp set that was cut using one of the frames from the new Labels and Circles die set. I used the die as a stencil and sponged on purple ink, then removed it and sponged the edges with black soot ink. I added bats and ravens using dies from the Halloween Scene and Iron Fence die sets.

There's nothing like seeing one of Karen's cards in action! I love effect of the fence arching out, and this card makes a great Halloween decor piece after it's received. You can find a full video tutorial from Karen HERE. You might think it's complicated, but it's ridiculously simple!

The new dies should be available in the next week or so, but you can check them out right now via the links below. I've also added links to Simon Says Stamp for the rest of the supplies I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I have lots more fun Halloween inspiration coming this week so be sure and check back. Have a great week!
